A Damascus-based spokesman of the Ajnad al-Sham rebel extremist group is giving a routine frontline, propaganda interview when a blast can be heard in the distance.
That blast was a Syrian regime high-explosive round leaving a mortar tube, inbound to their position. The insurgent hears the audible signature of the incoming round and begins to turn, but it’s too late. The round arrives with a nearly direct impact on him. Nothing could have saved him or the camera man at that point.
