The Norwegian Finance Minister believes it is important to tighten the refugee policy than broad political settlement.
The Norwegian Finance Minister, Siv Jensen told media today that it’s urgent to reduce the benefits that asylum seekers get. She want to tighten family reunion policy and increase the use of temporary stay among other things. She had a number of suggestions that can help reduce the refugee stream to Norway, but she would not answer whether it is appropriate for the Progress Party to negotiate on a broad agreement with the other parties.
– We want an endorsement to the tightening asylum and refugee policy. I hope that the other parties recognize the importance of this policy. We are very serious on these proposals, she said.
– We have now clearly said what we want, then we will see what the other parties say to it, she added.
