Norway: Two to hospital after violence episode at the reception

Both ambulances and police was directed to the reception center for unaccompanied minor asylumseekers on Englegaard in Tvedestrand Thursday night, after it had come into notice of stabbing.

The alarm went off at 21.30 o’clock.

Fight between several

Operations College police, Per Kristian Klausen, tells Tvedestrandsposten that several of the young people who live at the reception that has peeled together in a fight in the refectory.

– These are young people from different nations; Eritrea and Afghanistan, which have ended up fighting with each other – a nation fight, says Klausen.

One can ask how smart it is to place asylum seekers from different countries and different cultures in the same reception centre.

In connection with the fight it has been used a knife or another stab weapons.

According to Fædrelandsvennen, glass from a broken door shall have been used.

Had to have medical attention

It was chaotic at the reception when police arrived.

Outside Englegaard the scene commander in the police, Kurt Wolf, says to Tvedestrandsposten that two people are rushed to the hospital in Arendal after the brawl.
